This week has seen the BC Supreme Court looking at whether Dr. Bonnie Henry’s orders restricting gatherings in Churches are in violation of religious freedom rights. I haven’t looked at the briefs or the underlying materials and question whether anyone has considered actual cases of infection arising from indoor church gatherings or what kind of expert evidence on transmission modes, ventilation rates, viral loads and other spreader events was relied upon.

This case will obviously end up in the Court of Appeal.
